Pay: Up to 15.00 per hour depending on experience

- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 to 16:30

I'm currently recruiting for multiple experienced Fitters to support an upcoming project with a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Coalville. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical fitting experience who is confident working in an engineering, manufacturing or heavy machinery environment.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical fitting of heavy machinery and equipment
- Working within a production line environment
- Reading and understanding bespoke engineering drawings
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Working with hydraulics and mechanical components
- Working to tight tolerances, limits and fits
- Supporting the safe movement of production parts
- Meeting production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Following health and safety guidelines at all times
Ideal Candidate
- Previous mechanical fitting experience
- Experience working with hydraulics
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, plant, machinery or heavy equipment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Good mechanical skills and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills
- Strong health and safety awareness
Experience with crushing equipment, screening equipment, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or similar heavy machinery would be a strong advantage. Experience operating overhead cranes or jib cranes would also be beneficial. An understanding of lean manufacturing principles or 5S would be advantageous but is not essential.
