Overview:
Working for a large manufacturing business that have sites across the UK. The Mechanical Assembly Fitter will be site-based working as part of the assembly team. You will be tasked to build the machinery using mechanical hand tools (spanners, torque wrenches etc.) whilst reading the assembly/engineering drawings to ensure that the products are built in the correct way.
Key responsibilities:
- Reading assembly instruction/engineering drawings
- Building the bespoke machinery that the company manufactures onsite
The ideal candidate may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- A mechanical skill set - ability to work with tools (spanners/wrenches), nuts and bolts
- Computer literate
- Strong communication skills
- NVQ level 2 or above in a mechanical skill set beneficial
- Competent at following assembly instructions
