We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join our clients manufacturing team in Clay Cross, Derbyshire.
Responsibilities
- Writing CNC programmes on XYZ/Fagor machine.
- Continuing to learn and gain experience in the duties of Online Leak Sealing Technician, during daily field work and training sessions.
- Carry out CNC preparation works for custom parts in conjunction with system manuals.
- A commitment to quality at all stages of a project, including quality checking of materials.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including working in line with the company Health and Safety procedures, to ensure your own safety and the safety of those around you.
- Being prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime as and when required to meet the company's commitment to our clients.
- To conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
- To carry out any reasonable task that may be requested by management.
- Properly uses and completes customer and company job-related forms and paperwork.
- Properly uses, cares for and maintains company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Communicates and deals with customers and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company.
- Working away on site all over the country from time to time.
Skills & Experience Needed
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in CNC programming/operation and previous knowledge of working with Fagor/XYZ controls systems.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Fusion 360 software is desirable.
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- The ability to read and understand technical manuals.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management.
- Hardworking and motivated.
- Willing to work away from home from time to time.
- Comfortable with travel as part of their role (occasional overnights with travel allowance given).
- Full UK driving licence.
