CNC Milling Programmer / Setter / Operator

Precision Engineering

Location: Abingdon

Salary: Circa 45K - 50K + Benefits

This is a technically challenging role where you’ll be programming, setting and operating advanced CNC milling machines producing large, complex components to extremely tight tolerances. You’ll be working on high-specification precision engineering projects across sectors including nuclear, medical and semi-conductors within a modern, quality-driven manufacturing environment.

Essential

  • Strong background programming, setting and operating CNC Milling machines
  • Experience with 3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC machining
  • Good knowledge of Heidenhain controls
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Experience producing components to tight tolerances
  • Able to work independently and take responsibility for own quality

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Fanuc controls
  • Previous experience with Doosan, Matsuura or Mazak machines
  • Experience machining large components
  • Overhead crane / manual handling training
