Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can program, set and operate with confidence producing high-quality components to exacting standards.

What you'll be doing:

  • Programming CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls
  • Setting and operating machinery to manufacture precision components
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Selecting the right tooling and machining methods for each job
  • Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
  • Adjusting offsets and programmes to maintain tight tolerances
  • Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience programming CNC machines using Heidenhain controls
  • Ability to set and operate CNC milling machinery independently
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and precision work
  • Experience working on small batch and high-accuracy components
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
