This is a hands‑on role for someone who can program, set and operate with confidence producing high‑quality components to exacting standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Programming CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls
- Setting and operating machinery to manufacture precision components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Selecting the right tooling and machining methods for each job
- Carrying out first‑off inspections and in‑process quality checks
- Adjusting offsets and programmes to maintain tight tolerances
- Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience programming CNC machines using Heidenhain controls
- Ability to set and operate CNC milling machinery independently
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and precision work
- Experience working on small batch and high‑accuracy components
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
