We are looking for a Cleaner to support our site by ensuring all areas are kept safe, hygienic and presentable at all times. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with great attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain full knowledge of all areas required to be cleaned as part of your daily duties.
  • Complete all cleaning tasks efficiently and on time, including daily, weekly and periodic schedules.
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely in line with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and correctly after receiving full training; report any faults immediately.
  • Use appropriate safety signage at all times (e.g., wet floor signs) and warn customers or staff where necessary.
  • Keep all cleaning stores tidy and ensure equipment and chemicals are stored securely.
  • Follow all security procedures for cleaning equipment, materials and building access.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, appearance and uniform to meet Company and statutory regulations.
  • Report any potential hazards or Health & Safety issues to the Facilities Manager.
  • Attend required training sessions, Health & Safety meetings, safety awareness courses and staff forums.
  • Provide cover in other areas during staff sickness or holidays.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in safe working order and report defects without delay.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and client site rules.
  • Adhere to all regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire safety and COSHH.
  • Complete all required documentation and check sheets accurately.
  • Report all incidents, including accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage or irregularities.
  • Carry out any additional reasonable tasks as directed by management.

About You

  • Have strong attention to detail

  • Understand the importance of Health & Safety and safe working practices (training provided)

Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial work or facilities support is beneficial but not essential.
