Are you looking for a hands-on role within a clean, quality-focused manufacturing environment? Do you have experience in production, assembly or machine operation and enjoy working to high standards with strong attention to detail? We are supporting Porvair in New Milton who are looking to recruit a Cleanroom Operative to join their production team on a day shift.

This is a production-based role working within a cleanroom environment, supporting manufacturing activities to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will be involved in a range of duties including machine operation, inspection and following strict cleanroom procedures. Due to the nature of the environment, all staff must adhere to strict contamination control standards including:

  • No mobile phones in the cleanroom
  • No makeup
  • No jewellery or piercings
  • Full compliance with gowning and hygiene procedures

Hours and pay

  • £13.89 per hour
  • 39 hours per week
  • 4.5 day working week
  • Day shift position

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Carry out visual inspections and quality checks on products
  • Follow SOPs, work instructions and cleanroom procedures accurately
  • Assemble and handle small precision components
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and contamination control
  • Record production information accurately using systems or paperwork
  • Work towards production targets without compromising quality
  • Support continuous improvement and team objectives
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment

What you’ll need

  • Experience within a production, manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions
  • Good manual dexterity and confidence handling small components
  • Experience operating machinery or production equipment
  • Understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment
