We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a school for two critical terms. This role is perfect for a teacher who enjoys seeing the "lightbulb moments" that happen during the end of Key Stage 1 and wants to play a pivotal role in shaping a child's early academic journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Achievement: Support current Year 2 pupils through their end‑of‑year assessments with a focus on a "low‑stress, high‑success" environment.
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver creative, high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.
- Phonics Expertise: Utilise your knowledge of phonics (Read Write Inc) to bridge gaps in reading and writing.
- Transition Management: Lead a robust transition for the incoming Year 2s, ensuring they feel secure, happy, and ready to learn after the summer break.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience is highly advantageous).
- A nurturing approach with high expectations for pupil behaviour and progress.
