Berry Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Refuse Drivers to start ASAP for a local authority based at the Hedge End depot. This is an ongoing role, working Monday to Friday 6am - 1.30pm with an hourly pay rate of £14.30 (this will increase to £15.44 after 12 weeks). This may lead to permanent for the right candidate. You will need to be available to start ASAP and must have the correct licenses including Digi Tachograph and CPC.
Main Duties:
- Driving the vehicle around Eastleigh and surrounding areas with a team of refuse loaders
- Sometimes assisting with loading
- Collect household waste, recycling and special collections
- Customer facing so good customer service is needed
- Adhere to health and safety at all times
Previous rear steer experience is desired! Previous experience of the waste industry and of waste collection is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
