Location: Bury St Edmunds

Shift times: 07:30 starts

10 hour guaranteed pay per shift

Pay Rate: £15.62 per hour

We're looking for full-time, Class 2 Days Drivers to join us at our site in Bury St Edmunds. This role is a Monday - Friday role where you will start between 07:00 & 07:30 and usually work between 10-12 hours days. There is a 10-hour daily guarantee in place, so even if you have a short run and finish early, you will still be paid for a minimum of 10 hours.

We deliver various products to our clients, so every drop has the potential to be different, and you will be required to handball items off, use a pallet truck wherever required, and from time to time a client may use their FLT to unload to make your day that little bit easier.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Multidrop deliveries between customer sites + 1 collection
  • On average 12-14 drops across East Anglia - drops will be all similar postcode areas.
  • Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
  • In the absence of a customer forklift driver, you will need to use a pallet truck to unload pallets off trailer.
  • Using a handheld scanner and completing relevant paperwork.
  • Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.

What you need to succeed with our client:

  • Must have multidrop experience!
  • HGV2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
  • ADR preferred but is not a necessity.
  • A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
  • Multidrop delivery experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
  • A can-do attitude.
