My client is a long established, leading Civil Engineering and Groundworks Contractor that specialises in development infrastructure projects for some of the UK's leading residential developers. Due to planned growth and an influx of work in their Southwestern Region, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis or a long-term contract basis (12 months+) a Site Engineer / Senior Engineer to work on projects in the Southern Region comprising the Counties of Hampshire, West Sussex, Dorset and Wiltshire primarily. Initially, the successful individual will be working on a groundworks project in Christchurch, Dorset.
Responsibilities:
- Setting out roads, structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
- Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
- Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
- Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
- Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
- Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
- Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.
