Jobstore is looking for an experienced machinist to operate industrial sewing machines to assemble fabric, vinyl and leather components for upholstered furniture such as sofas and chairs. This role works Monday - Friday 07:30 am - 04:30 pm, with an early finish on Fridays. It requires skill in handling various upholstery materials, following patterns, and ensuring high-quality stitched products in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a variety of industrial sewing machines, including flat-bed, overlock, and twin-needle models.
  • Sew fabric and leather pieces for various upholstered items, such as sofas and chairs.
  • Follow production specifications and patterns to ensure the correct assembly of components.
  • Ensure all work meets established quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work environment.
  • Carry out stock control checks as and when required.
  • Work in alternative areas of the factory as demand fluctuates.
