Are you an experienced leader in residential childcare with a passion for therapeutic, trauma-informed care? We are working in partnership with a highly regarded provider who is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed Children's Home supporting young people with emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties. The Role

As Registered Manager, you will take full leadership responsibility for the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance, while creating a safe and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the home in line with Children's Homes Regulations 2015
  • Creating a warm, stable, and therapeutic environment that promotes emotional development and resilience
  • Developing and embedding trauma-informed and attachment-based care practices
  • Building strong, professional relationships with young people, families, and external agencies
  • Managing and developing a high-performing team, including supervision, mentoring, and performance management
  • Overseeing staff recruitment, inductions, and ongoing training programmes
  • Ensuring full regulatory compliance including Ofsted requirements, safeguarding practices, and care planning
  • Managing budgets effectively and maintaining accurate, high-quality documentation
  • Promoting a reflective culture that supports both young people and staff wellbeing

About You

We are looking for a confident and compassionate leader who is committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for young people. You will have:

  • Proven experience in Residential Children's Social Care, ideally within therapeutic or trauma-informed settings
  • Previous leadership or management experience within a children's home
  • A Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards)
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and compliance requirements
  • A nurturing leadership style with the ability to inspire, support, and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The ability to successfully pass an Ofsted Fit Person Interview
