Our client Rochdale Borough Council is looking for a Children's Social Worker to join their Family Support and Protection team. Rochdale Family Support and Protection Service need enthusiastic and committed Social Workers to support our transition into a new way of working. Rochdale is currently at the very start of an exciting transition into the family safeguarding model.

To support us in this transition we need to establish multi-disciplinary teams where specialist practitioners are co-located with social workers under a unified management structure. This enables a multi-disciplinary whole family response through direct assessment. This is a really exciting time for Rochdale and we need Social Workers to support us in implementing this model.

In return for your commitment we can offer you the following:

  • A manageable caseload of between 20 and 23 children. As the service develops and we get more workers, we aim to get caseloads to 17 to support you in engaging in real direct work with children and families.
