Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistants with a strong SEN focus to work across a trust of schools in the Chesterfield area on a flexible supply basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate support staff who are committed to helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential while enjoying the flexibility and variety of supply work.
The Role
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH.
- Deliver targeted interventions and support learning on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Assist class teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff.
Requirements
- A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN within a school environment.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
