Our client is seeking an experienced Site Engineer with strong setting‑out and surveying capabilities to join a major civil engineering infrastructure project based in Chester. This is a long‑term opportunity working on complex heavy civils works involving tunnels, shafts, and associated infrastructure packages.
Responsibilities
- Carry out setting out and surveying duties across site
- Support delivery of tunnelling and shaft construction works
- Ensure works are completed safely and to specification
- Maintain QA records and site documentation
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and management
- Assist with planning and coordination of engineering activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within heavy civils or infrastructure
- Strong setting out and surveying capability
- Experience on tunnels, shafts, or trenchless works preferred
- CSCS Card
- Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent
- Strong understanding of QA processes and site documentation
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
