Job Purpose:
To provide a high-quality parking service across council-operated car parks, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient use of facilities. The role involves customer interaction, monitoring parking activity, and supporting enforcement and maintenance activities on behalf of Equans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Duties: Patrol assigned car parks to monitor usage and ensure compliance with parking regulations. Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) in accordance with council policies (if authorised). Check pay-and-display machines and report faults or maintenance issues. Ensure car parks are clean, tidy, and free from hazards or obstructions. Report incidents such as damage, vandalism, or anti-social behaviour.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance and guidance to members of the public regarding parking rules, payment methods, and locations. Respond professionally to customer enquiries and complaints. Promote a positive image of Equans and the Council through courteous behaviour.
- Health & Safety: Follow all site health and safety policies and procedures. Identify and report risks such as spills, damaged surfaces, or unsafe conditions. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Administration & Reporting: Complete daily logs, incident reports, and enforcement records accurately. Use handheld devices or mobile apps for issuing tickets and reporting issues. Liaise with supervisors regarding operational concerns.
