Our client is seeking an experienced Site Engineer with strong setting‑out and surveying capabilities to join a major civil engineering infrastructure project based in Chester. This is a long‑term opportunity working on complex heavy civils works involving tunnels, shafts, and associated infrastructure packages.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out setting out and surveying duties across site
  • Support delivery of tunnelling and shaft construction works
  • Ensure works are completed safely and to specification
  • Maintain QA records and site documentation
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and management
  • Assist with planning and coordination of engineering activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer within heavy civils or infrastructure
  • Strong setting out and surveying capability
  • Experience on tunnels, shafts, or trenchless works preferred
  • CSCS Card
  • Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of QA processes and site documentation
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
