About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CAD/Revit Roofing & Cladding Designer to join our growing team based in Chester. This role is ideal for someone with experience in roofing and cladding systems who can produce accurate technical drawings, coordinated models, and fabrication details for commercial and industrial projects. You will work closely with project managers, estimators, site teams, and clients to deliver high-quality design solutions from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed CAD and Revit drawings for roofing and cladding packages
  • Develop fabrication and installation drawings to project specifications
  • Coordinate designs with architects, structural engineers, and subcontractors
  • Review tender and construction information to identify design requirements
  • Ensure drawings comply with current building regulations and industry standards
  • Assist with technical submissions, RFIs, and project coordination meetings
  • Maintain drawing registers and revision control throughout project lifecycle

Requirements

  • Previous experience in roofing and cladding design
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Good understanding of construction detailing and building envelope systems
  • Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience with BIM coordination
