SRG are working with a well-established chemical manufacturing organisation who specialise in the production of high-quality finished goods across a range of industrial applications. They are now seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their production team on a permanent basis in Merseyside. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering efficient and compliant manufacturing operations, ensuring products are produced to the required standards and ready for dispatch.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining process equipment
- Monitoring product quality
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
This role would suit a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality within a manufacturing environment.

Role / Description:
- Preparing, starting up, monitoring and shutting down blending equipment and manufacturing processes
- Maintaining product quality through adherence to specifications and procedures
- Carrying out analytical testing to ensure product integrity and consistency
- Identifying, investigating and resolving faults, breakdowns and process deviations
- Preparing and managing process materials across production stages
- Packing, labelling, palletising and inspecting finished goods for dispatch
- Completing documentation and records to required quality and compliance standards
- Supporting first-line maintenance activities and reporting equipment defects
- Maintaining housekeeping standards and 5S practices within the work area
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality and efficiency
- Assisting in training and mentoring other team members where required
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Industrial experience within a chemical manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety, quality standards and operational processes
- Ability to carry out basic maintenance and fault finding on equipment
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Basic qualifications in English, Maths and ICT (or equivalent)
- Counterbalance FLT licence (desirable)
