My client, a leading provider of outsourced services to the insurance industry, is seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to join its expanding team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this senior role plays a pivotal part in delivering high‑quality financial reporting and maintaining robust processes and controls across Lloyd’s syndicates and insurance clients both internally and externally.

The Role

  • Provide a professional and accurate accounting service to clients, ensuring all deliverables are produced efficiently and in line with strict deadlines.
  • Produce group consolidated management accounts and financial reports.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and GAAP‑compliant reporting.
  • Maintain and reconcile client ledgers.
  • Prepare and process journals, recharges, and payments.
  • Support regulatory returns and audit processes.
  • Monitor cash flow, balances, and outstanding items.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients, auditors, and regulators.
  • Support team development, training, and process improvements.

About You

  • We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Qualified accountant.
  • Experience in group reporting and financial consolidation.
  • Background in insurance finance / Lloyd’s environment desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with senior stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (Sage Intacct experience advantageous).
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
