Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a rapidly growing Financial Services Group based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to recruit an experienced and dynamic Finance Systems Analyst. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role is responsible for the administration, governance and ongoing development of the company's finance system. The role ensures system integrity, accurate financial data, efficient workflows, and acts as the subject‑matter expert and key point of contact for finance system users across the business. It offers remote/office hybrid working once settled in, with 2 days on‑site and 3 days remote per week, plus a competitive benefit package.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain and set up sales invoices, general ledger accounts, bank detail input, system triggers, statements of work and timesheet coding.
- Set up new finance employees as business users within the finance systems, process access change requests, manage timesheet approvers and perform quarterly access reviews.
- Engage in master data management, set up new supplier/customer records and onboard new legal entities.
- Manage and maintain finance system workflows, support the closing of financial periods within the system and input month‑end exchange rates for approval.
- Develop and improve system reports to support finance requirements.
- Provide finance systems training to new users and act as the finance systems subject‑matter expert, offering ongoing user support, problem‑solving and technical query resolution.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar finance systems analyst role and working with finance/ERP systems such as time‑sheet, invoicing or general ledger platforms.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, organisational abilities, ability to manage multiple priorities, initiative and solutions‑focused mindset.
- Knowledge of financial processes or internal controls, report development/system configuration and user access management.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to build relationships at all levels and collaborate with Finance, IT and wider business stakeholders.
- Experience within the Financial Services sector and Sage Intacct is advantageous but not essential.
