Location: Chelmsford

Pay: £13.30 per hour + Holiday, Pension, and Adecco Benefits

Hours: Full-time Monday-Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm Mon - Thurs, 8:00am - 3:30pm Fri

Contract: Temporary ongoing with the potential to go Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Administrator / Stores Operative to join our client in Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of office-based administration and hands-on warehouse work in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

This is a varied and busy position where you will play a key role in stock control and warehouse operations. You'll be responsible for keeping systems updated, supporting production, and ensuring stock is efficiently managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issuing stock using internal systems
  • Monitoring stock levels and tracking shortages
  • Booking in new deliveries and updating records accurately
  • Supporting the stores and production teams with ad hoc stock requests
  • Maintaining accurate system data and documentation
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties during quieter periods, including:
    • Picking and packing
    • Sorting and organising stock
    • Supporting overall stores operations

What We're Looking For

  • Confident in using computers and internal systems
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A flexible, hands‑on approach to work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, or admin role is beneficial
