Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact in education? We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Colchester on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching, mentoring, youth work, or education who are looking to build a long-term career within schools.
The Role
- Supporting students in lessons and during sports activities
- Delivering engaging physical education and enrichment sessions
- Working closely with teaching staff to support learning and behaviour
- Encouraging student participation, confidence, and wellbeing
- Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
- Assisting with classroom management and daily school routines
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children or young people
- A sports coaching qualification or relevant experience
- A positive, energetic, and adaptable attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for education and student development
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
