The predicted salary is between 13 - 13 £ per hour.

We are seeking professional SIA Security Guards to work at Goodwood Racecourse for the May Festival horse racing event taking place over 2 days on Friday 22nd May and Saturday 23rd May 2026. You will be ensuring the safety and security of attendees and premises.

The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a calm demeanour, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment during the event. Duties and skills will be:

  • Check guest tickets and passes and allow access
  • Report any incidents to the relevant safety teams / supervisors
  • Enforce venue policies and ensure all attendees adhere to safety regulations throughout the event.
  • Proven experience in working events would be advantageous
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities during busy events.
  • Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail in identifying potential issues.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with team members, clients, and emergency personnel.

£13.00 per hour PAYE

Must hold a valid SIA licence

Hours of Work:

  • Friday 22nd May 2026 from 10:00-18:30
  • Saturday 23rd May 2026 from 10:00-18:30
