Role Overview

Are you an enthusiastic ECT with experience supporting children with SEN? Do you want the flexibility of day-to-day supply work? Are you passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Rotherham, who are looking to recruit passionate Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with SEN experience for day-to-day supply cover. This is a fantastic opportunity for ECTs looking to gain valuable experience across a variety of school settings while developing their confidence and teaching skills.

The successful candidate will work across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and delivering engaging lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. The ideal ECT Primary Teacher will be adaptable, nurturing, and committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed within the classroom.

Qualifications

  • QTS or be due to achieve QTS
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Experience gained through placements within UK primary schools
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A sound understanding of the Primary Curriculum
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
  • A positive, patient, and engaging teaching style
