We have an amazing opportunity in Rotherham for an experienced Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to help train the next generation of engineering students. Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and assessment up to Level 3 which includes study programmes, adult programmes and apprenticeships within Mechanical Engineering, in both a workshop and classroom environment.
  • You will motivate students and support them to achieve their potential.
  • You will equip the students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential.
Qualifications:
  • You will hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, as well as a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to work towards.
  • You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or be willing to undertake).
  • Able to work in an organised and methodical manner.
  • Ideally will have previous relevant work experience in industry/commerce within a specialist area.
  • Preferably hold an assessment qualification (i.e. D32/D33 A1) or TAQA (or willingness to work towards).
  • Ideally have a sound understanding of Further Education Methodology.
