Pennine Recruitment (Acting as a Recruitment Agency) are delighted to be recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader for a long-standing client in Castleford. We are looking for candidates with previous Team Leader/Supervisory experience or candidates with a strong Warehousing background looking to take the next step in their career!

Job Summary

To lead and coordinate a dedicated warehouse distribution team. You will lead by example alongside other Team Leaders and a Warehouse Management team to ensure that your team (and wider teams within the warehouse) are all pulling in the right direction. This role is fast-paced. You will be working with fast-moving goods for a variety of customers and as such you should be extremely motivated to move stock swiftly but accurately!

Responsibilities

  • The planning and coordination of your team - labour and equipment resource in line with operational requirements.
  • Ensure the operations team maintain integrity of stock inventory accuracy and proactively manage stock movements within the operation.
  • Identify and resolve any stock inventory discrepancies and ensure WMS inventory and SAP system records are in alignment.
  • Ensure that Inbound or Outbound are despatched / Checked correctly and meet customer SLA's.
  • Investigate missing stock and notify stock control when stock cannot be located.
  • Previous experience of warehouse operations (goods receiving, pick, pack & despatch).
  • Strong IT systems knowledge including Microsoft Office, WMS & SAP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data and provide meaningful information.
  • Ensure that safety is paramount at all times to all colleagues and visitors entering the warehouse.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English is required) with the ability to form, develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 11am to 8pm.
