We have an exciting opportunity for a Fitter/Service Support based in Castleford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.

Summary of the Fitter/Service Support role

  • Salary: £34,000 - £40,000
  • Location: Castleford
  • Type of Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: 37.5 hour working week, Monday-Thursday 8.00am-4.30pm, Friday 8.00am-1.30pm

Responsibilities of the Fitter/Service Support

  • De-contamination of pump units prior to inspection
  • Dismantling, inspection and reporting of pump unit condition
  • Assembly and testing of pump sets
  • Identifying spare parts
  • Compilation of findings into detailed inspection report
  • Mechanical measurement of components
  • Electrical inspections

Requirements for a successful Fitter/Service Support

  • Overhead crane, lifting and slinging operator license
  • Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or similar or timed served
  • Electric motor and control equipment experience
  • Previous experience of pumps and rotating equipment
  • CSCS card holder
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Water Hygiene certification
  • Strong fault-finding skills, ideally with pumps and rotating equipment
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Forklift licenses
