About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced General Care Manager to lead our small 20-bed residential dementia care home in Cumbria. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person‑centred care in a safe, supportive, and homely environment.
The role involves leading and supporting the staff team, maintaining compliance with CQC standards and relevant legislation, and promoting the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of all residents. You will work closely with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure excellent standards of care are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high standards of dementia care and resident wellbeing.
- Manage staffing rotas, recruitment, and training.
- Maintain accurate care records, care plans, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control standards.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
