We are recruiting for a Cargo Controller to join a busy logistics operation in Hull. This is a great opportunity for someone who already has experience within logistics, transport, freight, shipping, import/export, customer operations or planning, but we are also open to someone with strong administration or coordination skills who is looking to build a career within logistics.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating cargo, equipment and trailer movements
- Updating internal systems with accurate movement information
- Liaising with internal teams, customers, suppliers and external partners
- Monitoring schedules and communicating any changes or delays
- Checking key documentation and following up missing information
- Helping avoid delays, failed collections, storage costs or additional charges
- Supporting the wider operations team with planning and coordination activity
- Escalating operational issues and helping resolve problems quickly
- Maintaining accurate records across internal systems and spreadsheets
