We are recruiting for a Cargo Controller to join a busy logistics operation in Hull. This is a great opportunity for someone who already has experience within logistics, transport, freight, shipping, import/export, customer operations or planning, but we are also open to someone with strong administration or coordination skills who is looking to build a career within logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating cargo, equipment and trailer movements
  • Updating internal systems with accurate movement information
  • Liaising with internal teams, customers, suppliers and external partners
  • Monitoring schedules and communicating any changes or delays
  • Checking key documentation and following up missing information
  • Helping avoid delays, failed collections, storage costs or additional charges
  • Supporting the wider operations team with planning and coordination activity
  • Escalating operational issues and helping resolve problems quickly
  • Maintaining accurate records across internal systems and spreadsheets
