An established and growing ground investigation consultancy is looking for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join their Cardiff team. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to take the next step into a project‑led, client‑facing role, while still staying hands‑on with site work and technical delivery.

The Role

  • You'll play a key role in delivering a range of geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Managing ground investigation projects from start to finish
  • Overseeing site works including drilling, trial pits, and logging
  • Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports
  • Mentoring junior staff and supporting their development
  • Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Contributing to project planning and commercial delivery

Requirements

  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related discipline
  • Strong background in ground investigation and site supervision
  • Experience writing factual and interpretative reports
  • Confident working independently and managing projects
  • Working towards Chartership (or already Chartered)
  • Full UK driving licence
