Social Worker required for work within Cardiff Council in the Wales Cardiff area completing Form F assessments. Pay per assessment – £2250. Assessments are available countywide. The appointed Social Worker will be part of the fostering team as an Independent Form F Assessor. Experience of working with foster carers as professional colleagues and working in a multi‑disciplinary arena are essential. The role is under the line management and general supervision of the Team Manager.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Form F assessments for foster carers and children.
- Communicate effectively with children, adults and prospective carers, showing respect and consideration.
- Plan, organise and manage a caseload, keeping accurate and appropriate case records.
- Deliver fluent, accurate, concise, and objective reports consistent with statutory guidance and Pathway Care procedures.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues in the Regional Support centre and other professionals.
Qualifications
- Experience of working with foster carers and within a multi‑disciplinary arena.
- Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Team Manager.
- Ideally a driver with access to a car and able to reside and work in the UK.
