Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher with experience supporting students with additional needs? Do you have strong classroom management and the ability to engage secondary and Post 16 students?

The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for secondary and Post 16 students with complex needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and Autism / ASD. The leadership team are dedicated to creating a safe and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to build confidence, independence and achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Humanities Teacher for a full-time maternity cover role. The successful Humanities Teacher will be delivering engaging Humanities lessons to secondary and Post 16 students with SEND complex needs and SEMH needs, while adapting learning to meet individual abilities. The role will require strong behaviour management, resilience and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

The successful Humanities Teacher will have:

  • QTS with a Humanities specialism
  • Experience teaching Humanities across Key Stage 3 / KS3, Key Stage 4 / KS4 and Post 16
  • Experience working with students with SEND, complex needs, SEMH and Autism / ASD
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
