My client is rapidly expanding their Audio Team, and has an opportunity for an engineer with a deep background in micro-acoustics who wants to see their work have a direct impact. They have a tonne of freedom & funding to develop some advanced tech, incorporating ML DSP implementation, and balancing of extreme loudness with crystal-clear intelligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the acoustic design and optimisation of products
  • Implement and tune complex DSP algorithms such as Noise Suppression, AEC, AGC, and EQ
  • Use FEA and COMSOL simulation tools to predict acoustic behaviour and guide the mechanical design team.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in audio product development
  • Advanced proficiency with acoustic simulation software and audio measurement hardware
  • Proven ability to use MATLAB or Python for data analysis and rapid prototyping
  • Strong understanding of electro-acoustic transducers

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in tuning and porting DSP algorithms to embedded platforms
  • Familiarity with various wireless communication protocols (e.g., DMR, P25, LTE).
