At Hamberley, we believe our residents deserve something ‘Extra Special, Every Day’ and we’re seeking a Housekeeper to help us achieve our goals at Cambridge Grove.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the supply of both clean laundry and housekeeping service throughout the home and contribute to the provision of cleaning, laundry and domestic services.
  • Ensure all areas of the care home are clean, hygienic and well‑maintained, including bedrooms, communal spaces and bathrooms.
  • Handle laundry and linen care with attention to residents’ personal belongings.
  • Interact with residents, offering assistance when needed to help them feel at ease.
  • Maintain housekeeping supplies and report any shortages to the manager.
  • Work closely with caregivers and other staff to support the overall care plan and home operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous domestic experience in a similar care home setting.
  • Flexible and reliable attitude.
  • Committed to customer care and first‑class service provision.
  • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations.
  • Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents.
  • Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Availability to work alternate weekends.
