Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Salary: Up to 21ph + overtime after 37.5 hours

A regional M&E Contractor are looking for an experienced Plumber/Pipefitter to join their expanding Cambridge team. The company provides M&E services to a wide range of end user clients and main contractors across a variety of sectors including schools, universities, hospitals, research & development and high end residential. These projects range in value from but typically up to 3M.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing plumbing and pipework systems on new build and refurbishment projects, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with project specifications.

As the Plumber/Pipefitter, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Read and work from technical drawings and installation plans.
  • Install pipework systems including copper, stainless steel and plastic pipe.
  • Install heating, water and drainage systems.
  • Install pumps, valves, brackets and pipe supports.
  • Work alongside other trades on site to complete installations efficiently.
  • Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods.
  • Proven experience in plumbing or pipefitting installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good knowledge of commercial plumbing systems.
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • CSCS card.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.
