Hays is recruiting for an experienced Trusts & Estates Tax Manager to join their growing Private Client Tax team. This opportunity sits within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, working closely with tax, legal, accounts and financial planning specialists to deliver a complete advisory service to high‑net‑worth individuals, families and trustees.
Responsibilities
- Provide advisory support on trusts, estates and private client tax matters, identifying planning opportunities aligned to clients' wider personal and family objectives.
- Prepare and review complex trust and estate tax returns, accounts and Inheritance Tax returns.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring deadlines are met and a consistently high standard of service is maintained.
- Support the wider tax team with trust‑related technical input.
- Contribute to business development activity, including marketing initiatives, publications and events.
- Mentor and support junior members of the Trusts & Estates team.
Qualifications
- Experienced Trusts & Estates professional with strong technical knowledge across trusts, estates and private client taxation.
- Previous experience in a Trusts & Estates / Private Client Tax role and CTA and/or STEP qualification.
- Commercial mindset with an understanding of recoverability and Work in Progress.
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional client‑facing manner.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
