Specialist Deaf Primary School in Camden, London is seeking a full-time, long-term BSL Teaching Assistant starting in September.
About the Role:
- Become an integral part of a highly supportive specialist classroom team, working with deaf pupils aged 4-11 who communicate primarily through British Sign Language.
- Support pupils both academically and socially throughout the school day.
- Use BSL confidently to support communication and learning access.
- Sign instructions, explanations, and classroom discussions clearly and effectively.
- Help pupils build confidence, independence, and positive relationships.
- Work closely with teachers, speech and language professionals, and hearing specialists.
