Location: Ballymena

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

Contract: Full-Time - Temp/perm

Overtime and occasional Saturday work available

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner / Mould Maker to join a busy and growing Joinery Team within the precast concrete industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bench joiner or mould maker with experience in building joinery and workshop‑based manufacturing. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high‑quality timber moulds used in the manufacture of precast concrete products for major construction projects across the UK and Ireland. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and experience working within a fast‑paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture timber moulds to specification in line with production schedules
  • Work from technical and construction drawings accurately
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively
  • Ensure all work meets required quality and production standards
  • Carry out tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively as part of the joinery and production team
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company standards
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Communicate progress and report any issues to the Line Manager

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience in building joinery, bench joinery, or mould making
  • Joinery qualification or time-served experience within a similar role
  • Experience working within a workshop or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work to production targets and deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience within the precast concrete or construction industry
  • CSR Card or Health & Safety qualification
  • Experience producing bespoke moulds or formwork
