A busy haulage company based in Kettering is looking for a reliable and hardworking Drivers Mate to join the team on an ongoing basis. This role offers full-time hours on a part-time basis, making it ideal for someone looking for regular work with flexibility.
The Role
- You will be working alongside HGV drivers assisting with deliveries, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
- There may also be occasions where you are required to drive between depots, so a valid UK driving licence is essential.
Shift Details
- Start time: 3:00PM
- Finish time: Usually between 2:00AM - 4:00AM depending on deliveries and routes
- Flexibility is required due to the nature of the role
Duties Include
- Assisting drivers with deliveries
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Heavy lifting involved
- Completing delivery paperwork
- Supporting warehouse and depot operations when required
- Driving between depots when necessary
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence required
