About the Client:

Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established national plant hire firm to support their team expansion. Our client is looking to onboard an engineer from plant, HGV, or agricultural backgrounds. They offer a comprehensive training scheme with the opportunity to go into a field role in the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment in the workshop
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices
  • Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting
  • Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance
  • 80/20 workshop based role, so sometimes it will be required of you to attend the clients site and carry out any necessary repairs or services, once competent

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the plant, HGV, or agricultural industry (essential)
  • Experience with hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems (essential)
  • Experience working on engines (advantageous)
  • Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair, and service experience
  • A desire to lead, manage, and grow a team
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering) (advantageous)
  • Full UK Driver's License
