We are seeking a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving production machinery to ensure minimal downtime while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary controls to mitigate risks.
  • Lock off any hazardous machinery immediately and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Proactively complete PMs on offline machinery when possible.
  • Maintain accurate records, including PM sheets, maintenance logs, and computer system updates.
  • Collaborate with production teams to quickly diagnose and resolve machinery faults.
  • Communicate professionally with external contractors and suppliers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • HNC, City & Guilds, or time-served apprenticeship with relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a food manufacturing environment (other manufacturing experience considered).
  • Electrically biased or multi-skilled engineer.
  • PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems experience is highly desirable.
  • Flexible and proactive approach with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
Salary & Benefits:
  • Salary: Up to £49,434 per annum
  • Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Overtime: Available (Saturday x1.5, Sunday x2)
  • 8 or 10-hour shifts
  • Pension: Matched up to 10%
  • Life Assurance: 6x salary

Working Hours:
  • AM Shift: 06:00 - 14:00 (Monday to Friday)
  • PM Shift: 14:00 - 22:00 (Monday to Friday)
  • Night Shift: 22:00 - 06:00 (Sunday to Friday morning)
  • Day Shift: Monday to Saturday with a day off during the week
