Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the development of design proposals from Stage 2 onwards, ensuring technical and commercial viability.
- Collaborate with the Project Director and multidisciplinary teams to refine and deliver sustainable design solutions.
- Prepare and coordinate statutory submissions including planning applications, building regulations, and safety gateway requirements.
- Engage with statutory authorities to support approvals, responding to feedback and managing compliance requirements.
- Produce detailed design information, reports, and presentations to communicate project intent clearly to stakeholders.
- Support sector leadership in expanding commercial project opportunities and strengthening client relationships.
- Oversee project progress through delivery stages, ensuring programme, quality, and design intent are maintained.
Skills & Experience Required
- ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 3 years post qualification UK professional experience.
- Proven experience delivering commercial or office projects from concept design through to completion stages.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK planning processes, building regulations, and project delivery frameworks.
- Proficiency in Revit as primary software with at least 2 years of consistent professional use.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within large multidisciplinary teams across complex project environments.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence presenting design ideas and explaining design development clearly.
- Interest or experience in retrofit projects and sustainable design approaches within commercial architecture.
