MERITUS are recruiting for an Aerospace Project Manager to join our client in Filton to support Manufacturing & Supply chain projects in an initial 6 month contract.

This role will focus on driving cross-functional coordination across procurement, engineering, quality and supply chain teams to support programme delivery, supplier performance and industrial risk mitigation across a complex manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and deployment of programme strategy in line with wider business objectives
  • Coordinate and support delivery of key manufacturing and supply chain improvement projects
  • Assist with prioritisation of strategic workstreams to support operational performance and programme readiness
  • Support supplier selection activities, including tender processes and make-versus-buy assessments
  • Monitor supplier performance across cost, delivery, technical capability and risk exposure
  • Track recurring and non-recurring cost activities, claims management and supplier improvement actions
  • Coordinate supplier demand planning activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate support for work transfer activities to enable production ramp-up and supply chain resilience
  • Support implementation of engineering or production modifications across the manufacturing perimeter
  • Assist with resolution of significant industrial and supply chain delivery issues
  • Support escalation management where delivery, quality or operational risks threaten programme performance
  • Coordinate implementation of major change activities and transition into full production delivery
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong project management experience within a manufacturing, engineering or supply chain environment
  • Experience delivering complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing sector experience highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability
  • Experience managing operational risk, issue resolution and business-critical escalations
  • Able to manage technically complex topics across multiple business functions
  • Commercially aware with strong strategic thinking capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly adaptable, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced delivery environment
