NPP are recruiting for an electrical biased quantity surveyor to join a reputable, fast growing, privately owned construction business. Our fast growing client operates similar to a tier 1 company and still retains the personal touch. You will be focused on working on projects within the commercial, living, education and healthcare sectors. Electrical Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets and procurement for electrical systems on construction projects.
  • Conducting quantity take-offs based on project specs and drawings.
  • Managing the financial aspects of electrical installs and refurbishments.
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets and forecasts for electrical works.
  • Evaluating and managing sub-contractor accounts (including valuations, payments and contract compliance).
  • Conducting risk analysis and providing proactive solutions.
  • Working with project managers, engineers and site teams to drive project objectives.
  • Preparing and submitting valuations, final accounts and variations in line with contract requirements.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project costs (to ensure budget alignment).
  • Managing control processes and providing cost advice for design changes.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an electrical Quantity Surveyor.
  • A strong knowledge in Electrical Installations and Materials.
  • A Valid Quantity Surveying degree or HNC.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (including Excel).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong commercial acumen combined with specialized knowledge of electrical systems, specific construction methods, and building regulations.
