Become a Tutor in Wakefield with Prospero Teaching! Looking for flexible, rewarding work where you can make a real difference? Prospero Teaching is recruiting passionate tutors to support students across Wakefield through 1:1 tuition.

About the Role

We partner with local authorities to provide tailored support for students in alternative provision, helping them rebuild confidence and achieve their potential. Most of our sessions focus on:

  • English & Maths KS1 - KS3 level delivery
  • Supporting students working below age-related expectations

Current Opportunity

Location: BD18 (student's home)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 17 hours per week
Pay: £20-£30 per hour
Duration: Ongoing

Role Details

Provide English and Maths tuition for a Year 10 student at KS2-KS3 level. The student has ADHD and ASD, so experience with SEN is highly desirable.

Sessions will take place during school hours (9am-4pm). You'll have flexibility to set your schedule.

What You'll Need

  • Some form of higher education (a teaching qualification not required)
  • At least 4 months experience in an educational setting (e.g. teacher, teaching assistant, support staff)
  • A passion for supporting young people

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • At least 2 years of references (including work with children/vulnerable individuals)
