We are working with a specialist youth provision in Girlington, Bradford, seeking a dedicated and resilient PSHE Tutor to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and delivering meaningful PSHE education that makes a genuine impact.

The Pupils

  • Have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences, or disrupted education
  • Require strong boundaries, consistency, and positive role modelling
  • Benefit from a nurturing, relationship-based approach to learning

Class sizes are small, and the focus is on engagement, emotional regulation, life skills, and personal development alongside PSHE delivery.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and structured PSHE lessons
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, confidence, and self-awareness
  • Build trusted, professional relationships with young people
  • Work collaboratively with a wider pastoral and teaching team
  • Maintain a calm, firm, and supportive classroom presence

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with SEMH, PRU, alternative provision or youth settings
  • Confident delivering or supporting PSHE / personal development
  • Resilient, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent
  • Able to de-escalate situations and model positive behaviour
  • Qualified teachers, instructors, or experienced tutors are all welcome
